Grants are awarded to people or businesses to complete defined project with the results to be shared with the grantor and the public. If you don't complete the project then you will owe money. Loans are awarded to a person or business and have to be paid back.

Support Services
Dairy Acceleration Program:
The program is coordinated through Cornell University PRO-DAIRY and in collaboration with Cornell University Cooperative Extension. Designed to enhance profitability and environmental stewardship of New York dairy farms. Funding for eligible projects may be used for organization of financial records and benchmarking, creation of strategic business plans, design of new or remodeled production facilities, development or updates of Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) and design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) identified in the farm CNMP. Farmland for a New Generation
A searchable on-line database for younger farmers looking for land, retiring farmers looking for a successor, and other landowners looking for someone to farm their land. The website, NYFarmlandFinder.org(link is external), also has find links to educational resources and events. A team of Regional Navigators at partner organizations across New York State can provide personalized assistance.
