Lozier Environmental Consulting, Inc. is a laboratory that specializes in water analysis in the Rochester, New York area. They test potable and non-potable water sources for biological and chemical contamination. In order to provide their services to those who might otherwise not have access, they are expanding their operation. Starting June 1st, 2025, Lozier will offer courier services from Cattaraugus County CCE back to their laboratory to help ease time restraints on clients. All supplies and instructions will be available to customers at the CCE Office in Ellicottville.
Homeowners with wells are responsible for ensuring their own water quality. If safeguarding the health of you and your family is a priority, testing your well water on a regular basis is strongly recommended.
Farms need an adequate and safe water supply for the production of crops and to sustain healthy livestock and poultry. If you use well, pond, river or another unregulated water source to water your crop or animals, you are at risk of exposing your product, and the consumer of your product, to contaminants.
Water Testing Kits are available for pick up in the CCE Cattaraugus office. Results will be sent directly to the home/farm as soon as they are available. Water samples will need to be at the CCE Office, 28 Parkside Drive, Ellicottville by 9 AM each Tuesday for processing.
