Beneficial Soil Microorganism research update with Dr. Kyle Wicking of Cornell University. Dr. Wicking will provide an overview of insect biological control with an emphasis on strategies for controlling soil-dwelling pests. Participants will gain an understanding of current biocontrol practices and products available for NY State and learn about new advances on the horizon for biocontrol in turfgrass.

The New Part 575 Invasive Species Regulations: What the ornamental horticulture industry needs to know with Chris Logue –Director, Division of Plant Industry, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. Chris will discuss the basics of NYSRR part 575 Prohibited and Regulated Invasive Species Express Terms including who it applies to, what plants are involved and how to comply.
