Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Allegany/Cattaraugus Counties will be presenting the Southern Tier Crop Congress in Belfast, NY.The event will be held Friday Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Belfast Fire Hall, just off from Route 19.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear about recent updates in field crop and forage production, as well as speak with industry representatives about the newest products on the market.
Topics for this meeting will include impacts and management of field diseases, risk management, updates on herbicide technologies, an alternative cropping system to corn silage, and the effects of water quality on how pesticides perform.Speakers include: Dr. Gary Bergstrom and Dr. Russ Hahn of Cornell University, Jim Clark of Penn State Extension and Aaron Santangelo of CCE Allegany.
DEC and CCA credits are available.
