The Ag Discovery Tent at the Fair!

Cattaraugus County Farm Bureau will continue its policy of educating the public on the many different types of agriculture in Cattaraugus County by sponsoring the "Ag Discovery Tent" at the Cattaraugus County Fair again this year.  The Fair runs from Monday, August 3rd thru Sunday, August 9th.  The Discovery Tent will have a different theme scheduled each day. 

This year a cadre of experts have been assembled so each day will have different exhibits and activities designed to educate visitors on each area of farming.  Fair goers are encouraged to check out the "Ag Discovery" Tent located on the infield each day for a fun and educational experience.

Monday, the 3rd, will be "Plant Day" featuring Chuck Couture and "Maple Day" with Brandon Blesy.

Tuesday, the 4th, will feature Farm Safety with Marty Krause and Alternative Energy with Rodney Weaver.

Wednesday, the 5th, will be Farming Fun with Joanna Nocero and Pumpkin Day with Dan and Diane Pawlowski

Thursday, the 6th, is Dairy Day with Darin & Katie Hill, partners at Hill's Valley Farm, LLC in Cattaraugus, NY.  This day will also feature Dave and Becky Beardi from the Farmer Veteran Coalition.

Friday, the 7th, will be Horse Day with Joe Lyford, Beth Meeder Terry Crisafuli

Saturday, the 8th, is Fiber Day with our spinning and weaving experts Regina & Jim VanScoy, Ardyth Van Scoy and Ellen McCarthy

Sunday, the 9th, will feature APHIS/Invasive Species with Dana Seymour.

There will be daily games and activities for children as well as spinning demonstrations with Annie Widger and Nancy Blessing.  Please stop by to say hi.  We look forward to seeing you at this year’s fair!
