Various Employment Positions will be available for those working to work as a field hand at Canticle Farm.

Canticle Farm is a 15 acre non-profit, Certified Naturally Grown vegetable farm located in Allegany, NY, founded in 2001. Canticle Farm is sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany and offers fresh, healthy, locally grown produce for sale year-round.

Canticle Farm now has full and part-time seasonal opportunities available that involve directly assisting with crop production, cultivation, harvest and local distribution.
A Field Hand position at Canticle Farm will require the use of endurance for physical outdoor labor, strong communication & teamwork skills and a passion for sustainable agriculture to assist in the farm’s success.

These positions require the following:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Use of repetitive motion
-Stand/sit/crouch/kneel/bend for extended periods of time
-Ability to perform in various weather conditions
-Successfully complete tasks in individual and group situations
-Stamina required for tasks requiring extended time allowance
-Ability to follow specific and detailed instructions

Experience with farming and/or gardening is beneficial, but not necessary. The desire to be an integral part of the farm’s team is.
Advancement opportunities exist for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career/long term relationship with sustainable farming.
